According to CryptoSlate, on-chain evidence links a $1.55 million theft from SingularityNET's Ethereum bridge to a massive unauthorized mint of 408.5 million NTX. The coordinated attack drained 8.7 million FET from the bridge conversion contract on September 19. Twenty-nine minutes later, a compromised NuNet minter created 408.5 million NTX, sending the tokens to the exact same receiving wallet. Investigators reported that the stolen FET was routed through MetaMask and exchanged largely for Ethereum, while over 217 million of the newly minted NTX was sold through decentralized liquidity venues. Fetch.ai subsequently paused its Ethereum-side bridge contract and AGIX-to-FET conversions as a precaution. Meanwhile, Bitvavo suspended WMTX deposits, withdrawals, and trading on September 20 after citing an active security incident affecting that token. Forensic reports indicated that the compromised bridge authorizer and NuNet minter credentials had not yet been rotated during the initial tracking window. Credential remediation remains central to restoring the affected services safely.
