According to CryptoSlate, IBM announced a beta connection on Sept. 24 linking its Digital Asset Haven platform to SWIFT's shared ledger for tokenized deposits. Reporting by CryptoSlate notes that the integration uses an ISO 20022 messaging adapter, allowing participating institutions to instruct ledger transactions through standard payment messages. CryptoSlate states that the route brings IBM's platform into an existing SWIFT program involving 17 banks preparing to pilot live tokenized-deposit transactions.

CryptoSlate reported that participating clients can move tokenized deposits around the clock ahead of final settlement through existing systems, such as real-time gross settlement mechanisms. Additionally, CryptoSlate highlighted a separate on-premises beta allowing regulated clients to run Digital Asset Haven inside IBM Z or LinuxONE data centers without a public-cloud dependency. According to CryptoSlate, Tom McPherson, general manager of IBM Z and LinuxONE, framed the expansion as a way for regulated institutions to participate in emerging digital-asset networks while retaining control of critical operations.
