CryptoSlate reports that Ripple-backed Evernorth has completed its SPAC merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II and is preparing to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. The listing brings approximately 473 million XRP into a publicly traded treasury company, backed by investors including Ripple, SBI Group, Pantera Capital, Kraken, and GSR.

According to CryptoSlate, Chief Executive Officer Asheesh Birla stated that the company plans to actively deploy capital across the XRP ecosystem to support institutional adoption, liquidity, and financial applications while growing XRP holdings per share.

However, CryptoSlate notes that Evernorth's relationship with Ripple creates an unusual financial reporting constraint. Because the companies remain related parties, Evernorth must account for its XRP holdings at historical cost reduced by accumulated impairment losses, rather than using fair-value accounting. Under this model, impairment losses must be recognized when XRP prices decline, but price recoveries cannot reverse those write-downs. CryptoSlate highlights that this asymmetry could make reported earnings and book value diverge significantly from the actual market value of the company's treasury assets.
