According to CryptoSlate, Michael Saylor-led Strategy executed back-to-back weekly Bitcoin purchases for the first time since June, lifting its holdings to a record 847,666 BTC. The company reported acquiring 1,665 Bitcoin for $142.7 million during the week ended Sept. 27, following a purchase of 950 BTC for $75.7 million the previous week. These acquisitions reversed earlier third-quarter sales, returning quarterly accumulation to positive territory.
Strategy financed the latest purchases through its at-the-market common-stock program, selling approximately 1.47 million MSTR shares for $246.2 million in net proceeds. Concurrently, Strategy stepped up support for STRC, repurchasing about 1.53 million shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch preferred stock for $151.7 million last week. The company funded these repurchases using $103.5 million from MSTR share sales and $48.1 million from its USD Cash balance, helping push STRC back toward its $100 target. Strategy also scheduled an Oct. 28 special shareholder meeting to seek approval for daily dividend payments across its preferred securities, beginning with STRC.
