According to BlockchainReporter, Moca Network and the Moca Foundation announced the live launch of the Moca Chain mainnet, built for digital identity. The infrastructure allows organizations to issue credentials, such as membership or KYC verification proofs, which customers can carry across applications while sharing only necessary details. Yat Siu, Animoca Brands' executive chairman, noted that individuals should not have to repeatedly submit personal information.
Moca Network is shifting its primary effort to AIR, a product layer featuring AIR Identity, AIR Money, and AIR Loyalty. Named partners for the ecosystem include SK Planet, Biletinial, Oyunfor, Open Campus, OneFootball, RewardMe, Lamborghini, REAP, Inveo Kripto, Plume, and Nansen. Additionally, the project plans to extend credentials to AI agents so businesses can verify agent authorization before granting access or rewards.
The mainnet launch arrives about nine months past Moca's initially targeted timeframe following tests and beta releases starting in 2025. Kenneth Shek serves as the managing director of Moca Network. The announcement also noted that similar agent identity frameworks are being developed by payment networks like Visa and Mastercard, as well as on Ethereum through ERC-8004.
