Breez SDK Debuts New Stablecoin Feature

According to Bitcoin Magazine, Bitcoin software provider Breez has introduced a new feature to its developer toolkit, the Breez SDK, allowing apps to let users receive bitcoin when sent stablecoins from over 30 networks, including Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tron.

As reported by Bitcoin Magazine, the SDK handles backend mechanics such as wallet creation, sending, receiving, and Lightning Network payments. With the update, a receiver selects the sender's network and amount, prompting the SDK to generate a deposit address. The sender pays normally from their wallet, and Flashnet converts the payment in the background so funds land in the receiver's non-custodial wallet as bitcoin, or as dollars if utilizing the stable balance feature.

Bitcoin Magazine notes that this follows Breez's June release of a feature to send USDT and USDC, alongside other recent usability upgrades like Passkey Login, instant Cash App onboarding, and Stable Balance. Breez also recently debuted Glow as its reference app and announced a collaboration with Turnkey in July to let developers add non-custodial Bitcoin to apps running wallets from their own servers.
